Q2Is the Sendai Airport Station on the Sendai Airport Access Line near the Sendai Airport Terminal Building?

It takes approximately 3 minutes to get there.
The Domestic Departure Lobby on the 2nd floor connects directly to Sendai Airport Station via a walkway, so you can get from one to the other without stairs or other barriers.

Q3When can I use the parking lot and how do I make a reservation?

The Sendai Airport Parking Lot is open 24 hours 365 days a year. You may make a reservation online from our website.

Q5Is there a vehicle stop zone for immediate pick-up/drop-off?
For the sake of road safety management, etc., parking is prohibited in front of the Terminal Building, with exceptions made only for drop-offs.
When taking or picking someone up by car, please use the No.1 Parking Lot (free of charge for 0.5 hour).
Q6What hours is the Sendai Airport Terminal Building open?
It is open from 6:10 to 22:00 (all year round).
Q7When do shops and restaurants open?

Q8Can I have a meal after entering the Boarding Area?
  • ・ANA FESTA, and SKY SHOP BOOMERANG are located in the Domestic Boarding Area.Meals such as bento boxes are available, as well as rice balls, sandwiches and other light foods.
  • ・MMC ORGANIC CAFÉ, International Terminal Shop is located in the International Boarding Area.
Q9Can I bring pets into the Terminal Building?
Bringing animals into the Terminal Building is not permitted.
However, exceptions are made for service dogs such as guide dogs and hearing dogs, as well as for pets to be handled by airlines as cargo.
Pets to be handled by airlines are to be kept in cages or other suitable enclosures and taken to the Check-In Counter promptly upon arrival.
Q10Where can I send or receive cargo and pets?

Cargo can be sent and received at the reception counters of ANA Cargo, JAL Cargo, and Sendai International Airport Co., Ltd. in the Cargo Area of the airport.
If you are departing on a flight together with your pet, please contact the airline company operating your flight with any inquiries.

Q11Are there strollers and wheelchairs available for use?

Strollers for children between 2 months and 3 years of age are available at Entrance 1 on the 1st floor (4 strollers available). (free of charge)

Note: Please return strollers to the designated location.
Those departing on flights from Sendai Airport may also use rented strollers in the concourse areas beyond the security inspection points.
Note: For those departing on flights from Sendai Airport, stroller rental is also available from airline companies. Please contact the airline company operating your flight in advance with any inquiries.

Five wheelchairs are available at Information on the 1st floor. (free of charge)
If you are unable to go to Information, please call Information using the intercom available for use at the pick-up/drop-off points for persons with impairments, located in front of the Terminal Building.

Q12Is there a nursery room?

Nursery rooms are located in the International Arrival Lobby on the First Floor and in the Boarding Areas (Domestic and international) on the Second Floor.

Q13Is there a place where I can watch the airplanes take off and land?

There is an observation deck “Smile Terrace” on the rooftop. Please use the dedicated elevator or stairs to access to the observation deck.
Note: There are no lavatory facilities available on the observation deck. Entry may be restricted in the event of inclement weather.
